Fully Adhered Flat Roof Systems
Fully adhered flat roof systems are a solid alternative to mechanically fixed or ballasted systems when using a single ply membrane.
A secure and reliable choice
A fully adhered roof system is one kept firmly in position with an adhesive. Recent advances in technology have removed the need for hot melts, meaning your single ply roof membrane can now be fitted cleanly and quickly with a cold adhesive. This kind of adhesive bonds the membrane to an insulation board, a vapour control layer, and of course the roof deck itself.
Why choose a fully adhered system?
We typically recommend a fully adhered system when the aesthetic of a roof is considered to be particularly important. Whereas mechanical fastenings can sometimes lessen the attractiveness of a property, and a sedum roof can compromise its geometry, a fully adhered system looks great from all angles. It can also be used on a host of different buildings, from industrial and commercial to residential.
Good for new builds
Fully adhered systems are ideally suited to new properties, especially if the roof in question is low and visible. If you want an appealing exterior for buyers or investors, the fully adhered system could well be your best bet.
Excellent for renovation
It can also be the best choice for renovation projects. When a roof deck is structurally sound but unsuitable for fasteners, a fully adhered system is often the roof that you need.
Durable over long periods
Only the fully adhered system is secured across every square inch of a roof. As a result, even in strong gales, movement is minimal. This protects the roof from damage and reduces the need for future repairs.
